Come along and join us this Wednesday August 8th for our club meeting. We will be inducting four new members as well as discussing upcoming events and projects. One such event will be the 2012 Australian Rotaract Conference is being hosted in our nation's capital by District 9710. October 20-21, 2012.

The year is certainly speeding along – its May already! We have two formal meetings left in the year, an awesome Trivia night coming up and then its Changeover! I hope to see you all at these great events.What a beautiful day Saturday was for our club’s Day at the Races. Around 15 club members came along to the Royal Randwick Racecourse for the Sydney Cup.Congratulations to Jaime for her winning bets, and kudos to her for shouting us all with champagne…

It's world Rotaract week!

This week is world Rotaract week!! Its great timing, as we have a Rotaract meeting this week – and it’s going to be awesome! Please come along to our meeting this week – and bring friends along too – as we have a very inspirational guest speaker.

Hi everyone,

Well - this year is flying by - It's already February! We hope to see you all at our meeting this Wednesday! We will be having a guest speaker, Deborah Homewood, who is CEO of Pacnet Australia, and President of Sydney Cove Rotary Club. Deb is a fantastic friend of our club, generously providing the venue for our meetings and providing valuable support to our club. Deb is a highly sought after public speaker and is a favourite at RYLA each year. Join us this Wedndesday at Level 11, 17 York Street Sydney for what will be one of our best meetings ever. 

Picasso

Welcome back everyone for an exciting new year!  Just thought I would quickly remind you about Picasso tonight at the NSW Art Gallery.  We will be meeting in the foyer at 6.30pm.

Please don't let the rain hold you back - it will be such an excellent opportunity to catch up & share our holiday adventures.

We will be having dinner & a drink (or 2) afterwards at the Art Gallery Cafe/ArtBar - where they will also have live jazz playing.

If you can make it can you please send me a quick email or text - so that I can book for dinner.

Happy New Year!! I hope 2012 is a year of growth, happiness and success for you! I also hope that Sydney City Rotaract contributes very much towards that growth and happiness!

 

Hopefully you’ve all had a wonderfully relaxing holiday with family and friends and are ready for the action of the year to begin! Because its only January and Sydney City Rotaract already has lots of activities planned for the months ahead!

First of all, I hope that you've all had a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year, as well as a bit of break. 2011 was a terrific year and, if we keep up our current momentum, 2012 should reach absolutely record breaking levels of awesome.

I hope you're all enjoying the lead up to Christmas. Personally, I have been sneaking into toy stores all week and rearranging displays, as part of my ongoing efforts to convince people that Toy Story was factually accurate.

Anyway, the club has a few events coming up that I would like to bring to your attention.

Luncheon of the Boating Party

Tomorrow at 10am Carl will be launching his boat the “Red October” at Killarney Heights & we have decided to have a spontaneous picnic lunch.

The day’s activities will include;

Please join us for our last formal meeting of the year! 

This week, we will be doing a mini 'We're half way there!... Woah-oh Year in Review' and inviting members to get more involved in different areas of the club. We will also be inducting our newest member, Richard Wong!

As usual, it will be a busy meeting, and a fun meeting.

We will go for drinks and dinner at Bar 333 afterwards, for what is almost becoming a tradition...

Joint meeting with Darling Harbour Rotary - next Wednesday 16 November

Dear members and friends of Sydney City Rotaract, 

What a great meeting last night! 28 members and guests attended, as well as special guests Deborah Homewood (President, Sydney Cove Rotary), Paul-Ward Harvey (New Generations, Sydney Cove Rotary) and Rotarian Dominic (also from Sydney Cove Rotary!). It was again great to have DRR Jake along and most especially - our guest speaker - Jeevika Makani!
