Weekly newsletters are dead kids; just like my dreams and Newspapers. Newspaper game 's for saps.
Since taking over as Editor-in-Chief of the Sydney City Signal, I have often caught myself thinking; man this is a lot of content every week and a lot of it is more or less unchanged.
This got me thinking. How can we do this better?
At a recent Sydney City Rotaract Board meeting, we began a conversation about how we can continue to improve our communication with you, the members, supporters, and friends of our club.
This conversation is by no means over and it is one that will require your input and feedback.
What I can say for now is the Newsletter is changing.
Future updates will be distributed in the 'off' week, i.e. a week when the club does not have a regular meeting.
The timing of this update (fake newsletter) is no accident. In addition to moving to fortnightly updates, we have also decided to experiment with the day and time the newsletter is distributed.
For now, future updates will be delivered to your inboxes Wednesday's at 3pm.
It is hoped that the planned updates will work towards ensuring newsletter content is timely, relevant and, interesting for you our avid readers.
Over the coming months there will also be a few tweaks to the content contained in the Newsletter and a general push to make content cleaner, quicker and snappier!
So keep an eye out and as always send any feedback to: [email protected]
Finally, as a reward for all of you that came this far.
Fun Fact: the author of Jaws dedicated the last decade of his life to the preservation of sharks to make up for the mass hysteria he inadvertently helped create <source>.
Hope to see you at the meeting Tonight! More information, including a map and a full agenda, can be found at: www.sydneycityrotaract.org.au/events/next-meeting
Until next time,
Editor in Chief,
